Kids’ Kart Academy

Kids Kart Academy is divided into two training groups:
Group A - advanced – The course takes place on Mondays 17:00-18:00
Group B – beginners – The course takes place on Wednesdays 17:00-18:00
Kids Kart Academy is open to children of 7 years of age and older with a height of at least 130 cm. Children on the course will be familiarized with the basic equipment needed for driving, they will learn the basics of driving a kart, how to behave in a kart, on the track, flag signals, how to hold the wheel correctly and so on. They will also train their reflexes and improve their condition. The whole course takes place under the watchful eye of experienced professional instructors. Our experienced mentors will help the children both on and off the track. A simple, child-friendly approach encourages children to get better and makes them more comfortable to have fun and enjoy the drive.
Course days:
- Mondays - Group A - advanced
- Wednesdays - Group B - beginners
NB: You can join the course any time. Even if you have missed some lessons you can catch up individually by agreement.
Timetable:
- 16:45 - 17:00: arrival / registration
- 17:00 - 18:00: briefing, theoretical part, 30-minute drive (selected topic, working with aids / track layout diagram, video of a professional driving, etc.), fitness training, reflex games, balance ...
Topics in the theoretical part
- Safety rules - flags, driver's clothing, etc.
- Physical preparation - condition
- Basic information about go-karts
- Turn-around, individual turns, difference, etc.
- Braking, working with the brake
- Accelerating, work with the accelerator
- Ideal line
- Overtaking
- Rolling and Standing Starts / Race
Practical part
- 15 minutes: drive I.
- 5 minutes: break and discussion
- 15 minutes: drive II.
- If necessary the instructor drives with the children.
Race for Group A (every 4th week of the course)
- Qualification - 10 minutes
- Race - 20 minutes
- Start - Rolling
- Evaluation of race
Obligatory clothes for driving:
- long, comfortable trousers
- T-shirt
- trainers
- head sock - can be bought at the track
- helmet - can be rented at the track
Recommended clothes for driving:
- gloves
- rib protector - can be rented at the track
- neck protector - can be rented at the track
- elevated trainers with a smooth sole
- overalls
